Jo Trowsdale

Jo is a researcher, teacher and practitioner who is interested in the relationship between arts, creativity, culture and education. Her current research into the role of the arts in affective learning builds upon her work as a director of a Creative Partnerships programme where she supported teachers, schools and artists to collaborate and innovate learning through creative practices. 

Jo has worked as consultant and researcher with different physical theatre practitioners developing research and evaluation to investigate how embodied learning can have impact and value. She has worked with Richard Hayhow from Open Theatre for a number of years, most recently in 2015 presenting at the Theatre in Education Conference 2015 and publishing in the International Journal for Inclusive Education 19:10 'Psycho-physical theatre practice as embodied learning for young people with learning disabilities’.
